Paitan Molde

Paitan is a Canadian Certified Counselor (number) with the Canadian Counseling and Psychotherapy Association. She graduated with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology (MACP) from Yorkville University. Prior to and during the completion of her master’s degree, Paitan worked with survivors of sexual violence for four years. Paitan has also worked with children providing therapeutic services in a school setting. She has always been passionate about helping people and providing them with a safe space to share their thoughts and experiences.

In her practice, Paitan wants to ensure every client has their needs met in a warm and nonjudgmental space. Fostering a safe, warm, and welcoming environment is key to therapeutic success, ease, and comfort in demonstrating vulnerability. Paitan strongly believes that every client is entitled to optimal client care and works hard to provide them that space to heal and grow. Paitan believes that we are the experts of our experiences and honours that within session. She will provide gentle guidance, use humor, skills, and interventions to increase her client’s ability to cope and increase trust in their inner strength.

Paitan primarily practices from a Person-Centered approach, tailoring her approach to each individual client. She also draws from Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion Focused therapy, Attachment Based Therapy, and Solution-Focused; making appropriate adjustments based on each client’s needs. Additionally, Paitan incorporate trauma-informed practices into my work. Paitan believes there is great value in healing from a self-compassion and holistic approach.
