Jicelle Bendico
Jicelle is a Registered Provisional Psychologist (#8191) with the College of Alberta Psychologists and is a member of the Psychologist Association of Alberta (PAA).
Jicelle completed her Masters degree in Counselling at City University of Seattle and Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology at the University of Alberta. Jicelle recognizes her privilege to be born and raised in Edmonton (Treaty 6 territory) to parents who immigrated from the Philippines.
Jicelle holds a belief that everyone holds an inherent potential for learning and growth and is committed to respecting each person's cultural identity. Jicelle has worked with adolescents and children that come from various cultural backgrounds. She has had the privilege to provide support to individuals that experience anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem, stress management, and grief and loss. Jicelle works extensively children and adults.
Jicelle practices Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approaches and techniques when appropriate. She looks forward to working collaboratively alongside you, that have taken the step to seek for counselling support to navigate life's obstacles and challenges.
