Charity Ehrenholz

Charity Ehrenholz is a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology student at Yorkville University, completing her practicum at Refocus You.

Charity brings extensive experience supporting youth and families in both school and community settings through her work with several non-profit, community-focused organizations in Edmonton, including The Family Centre and Boys and Girls Club. In these roles, she has provided individualized support, facilitated social-emotional learning groups, and collaborated with caregivers and educators to promote client well-being. Her work has equipped her with a strong foundation in trauma-informed care, strengths-based practice, and collaborative support planning.

Charity’s therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic therapy. She is passionate about creating safe, compassionate, and culturally sensitive spaces where clients feel seen, heard, and supported in exploring their inner experiences. Charity supports clients in understanding and regulating their emotions, building coping skills, and moving toward meaningful and values-aligned change.

She has a special interest in working with adolescents and adults who are navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, identity, self-esteem, emotional dysregulation, and the impacts of trauma. Charity values inclusivity and strives to meet clients where they are—emotionally, culturally, and developmentally—while empowering them to take an active role in their healing and growth.
