Chantelle Keats Pacholok
Chantelle is a Registered Psychologist (6747) with the College of Alberta Psychologists and is a member of the Psychologist Association of Alberta.
Chantelle is passionate about supporting individuals and holding space for them to tune into and address their needs. She is guided by the metaphor of being a fellow traveler supporting you along your journey. She provides a calm presence and accepting space where you can feel seen and heard as you work toward goals that are meaningful to you. She encourages curiosity over judgement and believes that working together can promote insight and awareness of one’s experiences which can lead to personal growth.
Chantelle currently works with individuals 16 years and older to address common concerns such as depression, anxiety, the impacts of trauma, and general stress management. She believes that everyone has the power within themselves to heal, grow and thrive and that sometimes some support along the way can help.
Chantelle has over 10 years of experience in the field of mental health which has included work with children, teens and adults with a wide array of presenting concerns, life experiences, cultural identities and levels of support in various settings including non-profit agencies, schools, and with families navigating involvement with Children’s Services.
She acknowledges that initiating therapy can be intimidating for some, and that the work involved can be overwhelming. Chantelle hopes that her trauma-informed, strength-based approach that is deeply rooted within a strong therapeutic relationship can help reduce the hesitancies that may come with participating in therapy. She uses an integrative approach guided by evidence-based practices including Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Solution-Focussed Therapy.
