Anjali Lakhani

Anjali Lakhani is a Registered Provisional Psychologist (7305p) with the College of Alberta Psychologists, and a member of the Psychologist Association of Alberta (PAA). She completed her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology post her Bachelor of Science degree with a focus in biological sciences.

Anjali’s approach is rooted in the belief that self-growth and strength are derived from exploring, discovering, and examining life’s various experiences. She employs an open and curious approach with her clients, providing a safe space for learning and change to occur at an individual pace. Anjali believes that everyone has the potential to lead a fulfilling life, and she strives to help unlock that potential through a collaborative approach and evidence-based practices.

Anjali takes a culturally sensitive approach in counselling and brings experience working with diverse populations through her employment with the Government of Canada. She is passionate about helping individuals with concerns including trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, and low self-esteem, which may affect their quality of life. She also has a special interest in chronic pain management, as she recognizes the physical and emotional impact of living with persistent pain. Additionally, she has experience working with youth and young adults, who face many transitions and pressures in their personal and professional lives. She strives to provide a supportive and empowering environment for them to explore their goals, values, and identity.

Some modalities that Anjali utilizes are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Solution- Focused Therapy (SFT), and play therapy with younger clients. She looks forward to meeting and working with you to process your emotions in a meaningful way. Anjali offers services in English and Gujarati.
