Aneesha Bains

Director of Clinical Services

Aneesha Bains is a Registered Psychologist (6468) with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).

Aneesha firmly believes in cultivating a space for unheard voices; and a safe space for clients to explore themselves, and the deepest parts of their minds. She aims to be a guiding force, another set of eyes, a grounding presence, and an individual who sees her clients as resilient, intelligent, and capable human beings. Being able to surround herself with individuals who have made the courageous decision to enter therapy and begin working on themselves gives her the drive and motivation to want to do more, be more, and show up continuously in a way that they deserve.

In session you can expect connection, humor, respect, understanding, compassion, and for her to hold hope for you until you’re ready to hold it yourself.

Aneesha approaches all clients with a compassion-focused, attachment-based lens and holds specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Integrative Somatic Parts Work, and Mood regulation Skills for depression. Additionally, she uses a variety of other modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy, to build treatment that is unique to the client and their needs.

Aneesha is passionate about working with adults, with a focus in the areas of anxiety, depression, emotion regulation, perfectionism, shame and guilt, self-esteem/self-confidence, and trauma.

Aneesha strongly holds the belief that healing is about learning to welcome, accept, and love all parts of you, including the parts that have been hidden or cast off. If any of this resonates with you, Aneesha would be honoured to be given the opportunity to hear your story.
